CRACKS, ON JOHN HOLLOWAY, 2005
Video installation video projection, monitor, mirror & photocopies with transcription
This installation departs from an interview that I made to John Holloway on his revolution concept and his theory of changing the world without taking the power of the state, some sort of low intensity revolution. One video is displayed with a floor level video projection with found footage and a 15¨ monitor facing the wall with a mirror, with the video of Holloway giving his interview. The found footage, Necromantic film from 1987, shows a guy running and yelling through the countryside with Holloway’s voice in off. Here the installation is a platform for Holloway’s voice. Holloway’s interview was held in May 2005.

Installation view at the show Tracce di un seminario, Fondazione Ratti, Assab One Milan, 2006.
