BSR - FAT, 25th June 2010
FROM THE BSR SERIES
Organization of an anarchist encounter in collaboration with Tobi from the BIBLIOTECA SOCIAL RECONSTRUIR - BSR held at the FRENTE AUTENTICO DEL TRABAJO - FAT.
The idea was to reflect on the legacy of the Anarchist Movement in Mexico and over all on the different issues, frictions, complexities, and differences of the several archives or collections pertinent to Mexico’s actual context. The main problems around these collections (private or public) are the restrictive access to them and the general slander the term Anarchism has gone through the last century.
The idea is to reflect around the notion of Archive, the competences and incompetences in regard the accesses to the collections, the obliteration many have gone through, be it by researchers and institutions egoism or by the pertinence to obliterate and cancel history by official historiography, or by compulsory closedowns by the State in relation to private property.
Speakers: Iván Denisovich (Multiforo Alicia) - Diego Flores Magón (Centro Documental Flores Magón) - Rubén Trejo (Colectivo Autónomo Magonista CAMA) - Tobi (Biblioteca Social Reconstruir BSR) - Enrique (Centro Social Obrero) - José Luis Barrios (Moderator, philosopher and curator)
